The seat is thickly padded with CA Firefoam allowing you to sit on it for hours without getting sore. You can do your homework or read a book while slowly sipping your cappuccino or latte as you sit on the counter stool. As it is made of vinyl, it is easily cleaned of spilled liquids or solids. All you need to do is wipe them off with a nice clean cloth.
The seat has a solid and sturdy backrest you can lean into. Its top rail is contoured to the shape of a regular or normal back thus making it totally relaxing to lean into. In between the top and lower rails is a set of two vertical and two horizontal wood slats that constitutes the spindles and mid-rails of the backrest, thus giving the chair a Window Pane Back of nine rectangles.
To provide additional support for the front legs of the counter stool, two horizontal braces are installed –one near the bottom of the seat, with the other at the lower end of the legs. The latter also serves as a footrest to keep your feet from dangling awkwardly as you take your place on the seat. The rear legs also have their own horizontal prop, but it is only the bottom part of the legs that have one. With these supports, the stool can seat a heavyweight of up to 250 pounds.
