Portola P-BST2017-2CL RST Living Acrylic Barstool

Acrylic is a transparent thermoplastic that looks like glass, except that it is far stronger and more resistant to impact, clearer, and only half as heavy given the same size. A unique feature of the thermoplastic is that it can be easily shaped. Also, if two pieces are joined, they are chemically welded at the molecular level thus no seam can be seen at their joints.
These features make acrylic a perfect material for the Portola P-BST2017-2CL Living Acrylic Barstool. The clear plastic seat, and the chromed steel stem, footrest, and base combine to make the Portola an excellent barstool of contemporary design. It will look quite at home in any modern kitchen breakfast bar, or liquor bar.
The acrylic seat is rounded at the front and tapers slightly to the rear where it slants upward, but not quite tall enough to make a backrest. An opening is carved out at the slanted rear, which is intended for carrying the stool. The seat, measuring 15″ x 15″, is contoured to make sitting comfortable. It swivels to make getting on or off more convenient.
The lever of the air lift that is mounted just below the seat allows it to rise from a height of 22 to 31 inches. Thus, regardless of whether you are a small boy or the father of that boy, the Portola P-BST2017-2CL RST Living Acrylic Barstool can be fine tuned to suit your height.
Supporting the seat is a sturdy and shiny steel stem in chrome which terminates in a wide base with a diameter of 15″. This is sufficiently wide to prevent the stool from toppling over. In between the seat and the base is a footrest, also finished in chrome, to keep your feet from dangling.
