Woodard Aurora Wrought Iron Stationary Counter Stool

Part of Woodard’s Classic Collection, the Woodard Aurora Wrought Iron Stationary Counter Stool is built from solid, and the heaviest available wrought iron stock. Like the other furniture in the collection, it is crafted by hand using age-old methods inherited from previous generations. Hammers and anvils are still very much a part of the production process involved down to its most intricate details.
The Aurora is a fun piece of furniture that is sure to add character to your breakfast or liquor bar. Owing to its unique design, it also makes a good conversation piece.
There are seven vertical back rails in between the stiles of the stool. These are not, however, straight rails. They undulate without any regular pattern as they rise from the bottom horizontal rail to the top. Even the horizontal rails are lopsided. They are asymmetrically curved but this is what makes them different from other stools.
For added support while sitting on the stool, the Aurora is equipped with arms. These, like the back rails, are also wavy. Also like the rails, the curves in the right arm are different from those in the left.
The seat consists of a woven iron mesh for a cool sitting. You can, however, install a removable cushion if you want a softer seat.
The stiles at the backrest extend downward to form the back legs. Right below the seat, they begin to taper outward to provide a more stable and solid support. The front legs likewise taper outward. A stretcher connecting all the legs together further strengthens the stool. It also doubles as a footrest. At the bottom of all four legs are round bases that protect your floor from scratches.
The Woodard Aurora Wrought Iron Stationary Counter Stool is available in several finishes. Overall, it is 42 inches tall, but its seat is approximately 24 inches high. It is 23 inches long and 21 inches wide.
